Thank you, Mom

I don’t have any kids of my own yet so here’s a photo of our Bailey when he was just a pup. My Mom is out of the country so we didn’t get to spend time with her today but this weekend I am reminded of childhood memories of her. She has aged so much (especially post-chemo) and it saddens me that the older I get the less time I get to spend with her. I think back to how much I expected her to be perfect in every way when in actuality we are all still children in our own ways… still learning, making mistakes.

The older I get, the more I appreciate her for her strengths and flaws. Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs in the world, I can’t even begin to relate.  Thank you, Mom.
